PMOS, formerly known as PCOS, is more than an "ovary problem." It is a whole-body hormone and metabolic condition that can affect cycles, skin, hair growth, weight, energy, mood, fertility, and long-term health. The Rapha PMOS Care Program helps you move from confusion to a clear, personalized plan, without shame, crash diets, or guesswork.
In 3 minutes, discover your PCOS pattern and get a personalized membership roadmap.
Judgment-free. Meds optional. At-cost labs. Telehealth.
Why the name changed:
PCOS is now being called PMOS: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome. In plain language, that means this condition involves multiple hormones, metabolism, and ovarian function — not just “cysts.” Many people with this condition do not actually have cysts, and focusing only on the ovaries can delay the right care. PMOS gives better language for what many women have known all along: this affects the whole body.
• Phenotype-first care. We identify your likely PMOS pattern — such as insulin-resistant, adrenal-leaning, inflammatory, post-pill, or lean PMOS — so your plan is built around your body, not a one-size-fits-all template.
• Whole-body hormone support. PMOS can show up through irregular cycles, acne, facial hair growth, hair thinning, cravings, fatigue, mood changes, inflammation, and fertility concerns. We help connect the dots.
• 14-day clarity. No long waitlists. Your telehealth visit, targeted labs, plain-language report, and 90-day Care Map help you understand what is happening and what to do next.
• Weight-neutral, stigma-free care. We address metabolism, insulin resistance, inflammation, stress, sleep, nutrition, and movement without blaming your body or making weight the only measure of progress.
• Medication-informed, not medication-pushed. We start with doable steps. Medications may be discussed when appropriate, but your plan is built around your goals, preferences, and stage of life.
Inspired by the science-forward care of modern wellness leaders, designed for everyday life with PCOS.
Root-cause perspective
Guided by hormone experts
Built for bodies, not perfection
PMOS can feel confusing because symptoms often show up in different parts of the body at the same time. You may be told to lose weight, start birth control, or “just watch it,” without anyone explaining the bigger picture. We help you understand your pattern and build a realistic plan.
Complete a brief intake about cycles, skin and hair changes, energy, sleep, stress, cravings, weight changes, fertility goals, and past treatments. You’ll also receive a Fast-Start Toolkit with simple steps to begin supporting blood sugar, inflammation, and daily hormone rhythms.
Meet with a Rapha physician to review your story, symptoms, goals, and targeted lab options. We look beyond “Do you have cysts?” and focus on the broader hormone and metabolic picture.
Receive your PMOS Pattern Report in plain language, along with a personal 90-day Care Map that includes behavior-first and medication-supported options when appropriate.

What does PMOS mean?
PMOS stands for Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome. “Polyendocrine” means more than one hormone system may be involved. “Metabolic” refers to how the body handles energy, blood sugar, insulin, and related health risks. “Ovarian” reflects that ovulation and cycles can be affected. In plain language, PMOS is a whole-body hormone and metabolic condition — not simply an issue of ovarian cysts.
Is PMOS the same thing as PCOS?
Yes. PMOS is the new name for the condition long known as PCOS. During the transition, you may still see both terms used. We use “PMOS, formerly PCOS” so patients can understand the updated language while still recognizing the condition they may have heard about before.
Does the name change mean my diagnosis or treatment changes?
Not automatically. The name change is about using more accurate language. The goal is to help patients and clinicians focus on the full picture: cycles, androgen symptoms, insulin resistance, inflammation, metabolic risk, mood, skin, hair, and fertility goals. Treatment should still be individualized.
The old name focused heavily on “polycystic ovaries,” but many people with this condition do not have true cysts, and ovarian appearance alone does not explain the full-body symptoms. PMOS better reflects the hormone and metabolic nature of the condition.
In a few minutes, you’ll have more language for what your body is going through — and a clear next step that doesn’t involve overhauling your entire life.
You deserve answers that feel kind, not overwhelming.
